Air Sample Collection Guide

TUMI Genomics’ Fungal screen diagnostic assay uses a TaqMan qPCR to detect the presence of pathogenic Pythium and Fusarium spores in air samples that have been collected in your facility.

This product includes 1 sample plate to be tested and two internal control plates.

Results take 10 days to be delivered.

The primer/probe sets target the Pythium and Fusarium genomes.  Additional pathogens can be identified via morphological characteristics.  PCR confirmation of airborne fungal species besides Fusarium and Pythium is available upon request for an extra fee.

The Pythium species detected in the assay are:

1. P. dissotocum
2. P. myriotylum
3. P. ultimum
4. P. alphanidermatum

The Fusarium species detected in the assay are:

1. Fusarium oxysporum
2. Fusarium solani
3. Fusarium proliferatum
4. Fusarium brachygibbosum
